I designed a system utilizing Drupal that would allow anonymous users to fill out a form for requesting a free corporate-document resource & sign up to future a newsletter. Users would fill out the form, then receive an auto-confirmation email that sends them a link to a secure document download page.
The submitted data is automatically stored in a database. An administrative user is setup with a website login to access online table of the submitted data, that can be viewed and sorted right on the Drupal page, or exported into a CSV file for viewing in a spreadsheet.
The clients admin staff can also update the resource document that is available through this system
